Health & Safety
At Advance, the health and safety of our entire workforce, and that of our working partners, is of paramount importance.
Our commitment to CSCS has now achieved 100% compliance throughout our business.
We believe that a competent site team is important to the effective completion of our package works, in order to achieve this, we have provided training to our teams which now sees at least one member of each team holding a CITB SSSTS supervisor’s qualification. Our supervisors are supported by a team of visiting managers qualified to CITB SMSTS Standard.
In 2015 we achieved CHAS accreditation, which is due for renewal in October 2016.
We understand that our staff and operatives are our main asset. We actively encourage the gaining of further qualifications. We ensure that all of our contract managers are qualified to at least CITB SMSTS. Our operations manager is at the forefront of this ethos and is qualified to NEBOSH: National Certificate for Construction Safety & Health and also NEBOSH: Certificate for Fire Safety and Risk Management, and is a Technician Member of IOSH
To develop our onsite staff, in addition to the SSSTS, our screeders all now have achieved an NVQ2 qualification in, In-Situ flooring- Resin screed and also In-Situ- Cementitious screeding. Our operatives also receive in house training on the safe use of our screed pumps.

Westminster Abbey – Gym
This is the oldest wall in the UK
Advance have recently taken part in 120m2 project. This was a huge opportunity for Advance to be a part of Screeding a gym floor for Westminster Abbey. Advance have been trusted with this historical architectural site.
6800 m2 of Isocrete k screed, completed in 5 weeks to an excellent standard, this was a launch project for the new Isocrete k screed bag system and exceeded the specification of a category A floor with BRE test results of 0.3mm.
Advance Screeding UK were first choice on this state of the art project laying 4000m2 of Isocrete k screed this facility will greatly benefit the environment for all people in Essex.

5000m2 of k screed completed on budget and on time. Founded in 1677, they are one of the oldest state schools in the country, with a rich and distinguished past. Having received funding under the government’s Building Schools for the Future initiative, they have now opened doors to one of the UK’s most stunning, innovative and flexible learning environments.

St Thomas Hospital
St Thomas are among the oldest and most well-known teaching hospitals. They have withstood the worst over the years: the Black Death, the plague, the War of the Roses, the Great Fire of London and the Blitz. Guy’s was made possible because of the generosity of Thomas Guy, a governor and benefactor of St Thomas’. He leased some nearby land in order to build one of the first institutions for the ‘incurable ill and hopelessly insane.’ His generosity allowed the hospital to run for two centuries, until the NHS was formed in 1948. Advance Screeding UK were involved in the insulation of the west wing lift access for patients benefit in this historical hospital.
